April, 2024 BC Interior Newsletter
In this first newsletter of the year, our lead story is a Q&A with Fairview Mountain's GM, Brian McDonald. Fairview Mountain is celebrating its 30th anniversary and McDonald is the current PGA of Canada Executive Professional of The Year.
Well regarded Sagebrush is always of interest and in 2024, they are building on a lot of hard work in 2023. Contributing writer Gord Montgomery's interviews GM Chris Hood on the ongoing improvements.
A couple of facilities have been doing major work recently. Talking Rock is back in the saddle after last year's fires and BCGolfGuide.com's Ross Marrington paid a visit just a couple of days ago and spoke with HP Cody Bell to provide an update.
A little farther north and west, renos at Prince Rupert GC under the direction of second year HP/GM Sean Fagan are a definite feel good story with the local community stepping up in amazing ways.
In Association news, we introduce our newest President, Shauna Wilton, the third woman to hold the position since BCGA and the BCLGA amalgamation in 2004. We also profile the upcoming Interior Player Development Camp to be held at The Okanagan Golf Club on May 19-20.
Please enjoy.
